Maria Regis
I grew up in the same Maryland house from the age of eighteen months until I was eighteen. Even as a child, I was eager to explore the world—I begged my parents to move multiple times so I could experience living somewhere new, but we stayed put. By the time I was choosing a college, I was ready to spread my wings, and the University of Washington in Seattle felt like the perfect place to land.
In 2013, I graduated with a degree in Biology and was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Navy. I then attended flight school and spent the next ten years flying helicopters around the world. I was fortunate to be stationed in Japan for three years, where my husband and I explored Asia and the Pacific. Since then, I’ve traveled to all seven continents, gaining experiences that continue to shape my perspective.
In 2022, I made the difficult decision to leave active duty, though I continue to serve as a helicopter pilot in the Navy reserves. I’ve now turned my lifelong passion for travel into my professional focus, helping others design journeys that inspire curiosity, adventure, and meaningful experiences.
